| NAME:
Miles Miniaci
(AKA "The Funny One")
Bio:
MFA in Theatre from USC; acted in professional
films/TV in LA; Star of original KVIE production
and two local indie
films for the Sacramento Film Festival; Elly-award
winning stage actor/director/producer in Sacto;
Host of legendary Trash Film Orgy at The Crest;
Lead steel-drum player for Sac's own "Litany"
(now playing at a bat mitzvah near you!); Humor
& music writer for ShortBus magazine and
Sac's #1 e-zine Retrocrush.com, etc., etc....
Favorite parts
played in ICBINC:
Myself, your gracious
host (i.e., Woody Allen); D'Harlen, the crazed
would-be C&W bard; the Father in the infamous
"Pony Fetish" skit (my dramatic high point,
to be sure).
Proudest
ICBINC moment: Selling
out LA's famous Knitting Factory and meeting
Bettie Serveert...on the same night! |
|

Most
trying moment on tour:
Trying to play to hundreds of drunk barflies
chanting for "tits," while emceeing a Velvet
Hammer Burlesque show at
the Brown Derby in LA.
What
would be a more fitting name for ICBINC:
How about I Can't Believe
It's Not f*in' Comedy, eh? (See, I don't
like A.C.R.O.N.Y.M.s--they're way too precious).
What
have you given up to be in ICBINC:
Countless hours of rehearsal time and many,
many inhibitions.

What
makes "Not Comedy" so funny??
It's a simple formula, really: Ho-hum script
> the miraculous Miles "comedy filter"
= Laff riot!!
Who put the bomp
in the
bomp-ba-bomp-ba-bomp?
Patti Smith, I think. Or Lou Reed.
Was it Lester Bangs?
Oh, yeah--it was Steve Allen!
Comedy Influences:
None, but I wish this Woody Allen guy would
quit ripping off my schtick. And I
don't care how much Keith raves about him,
I just don't "get" Adam Sandler.
